Candy Christian, aged eighteen, is an extremely pretty and desirable but naïve young woman, who finds herself in a variety of farcical sexual situations as a result of her desire to help others. The men in her life, regardless of age or relationship, wish only to possess her.2. The Wolfgang Press “Dreams & Light”

3. Simple Minds “Big Sleep”
Raymond Chandler
The Big Sleep is a hardboiled crime novel by Raymond Chandler, the first in his acclaimed series about detective Philip Marlowe.

4. Cocteau Twins & Dead can Dance “Alice”
Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
The Alice series is a book series written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. There are three prequels to this series. The first one, Starting with Alice, describes Alice in third grade. Alice in Blunder land is Alice in fourth grade. The final prequel, Lovingly Alice, follows Alice through the troubles of fifth grade. The first book (after the prequels) is The Agony of Alice.

5. The Cure “Last day of summer”
Steve Kruger
Last Days of Summer is the story of Joey Margolis, neighborhood punching bag, growing up goofy and mostly fatherless in Brooklyn in the early 1940s. A boy looking for a hero, Joey decides to latch on to Charlie Banks, the all-star third baseman for the New York Giants. But Joey’s chosen champion doesn’t exactly welcome the extreme attention of a persistent young fan with an overactive imagination. Then again, this strange, needy kid might be exactly what Banks needs.

6. Rose of Avalanche “Velveteen”
Daniel Marks
Velveteen Monroe is dead. At 16, she was kidnapped and murdered by a madman named Bonesaw.

7. Love and Rockets “Holy Fool”
Joanne Harris
This story has been in my mind, in one form or another, for quite some time. I finished an early version of it before I wrote Chocolat, and came back to it five years later, having realized that I still liked the characters and the story, and that I wanted to see it completed. It precedes (and complements) Chocolat in a number of ways. Firstly, my central character, Juliette, has many things in common with Vianne Rocher (most especially in terms of her relationship with her mother and her young daughter). She might easily be an ancestor of Vianne (LeMerle, too, fits in with Reynaud’s ancestry), as she too is a traveller, a witch of sorts, and has a number of unorthodox ideas on spirituality.

8. The chameleons “swamp thing”
Alan Moore
Swamp Thing, a fictional character, is a humanoid/plant creature elemental in the DC Comics Universe, created by writer Len Wein and artist Berni Wrightson. Swamp Thing has had several humanoid or monster incarnations, depending on various story lines. He first appeared in House of Secrets #92 (July 1971) in a stand-alone horror story set in the early 20th century.[1] The character then returned in a solo series, set in the contemporary world and in the general DC continuity.[2] The character is a humanoid mass of vegetable matter who fights to protect his swamp home, the environment in general, and humanity from various supernatural or terrorist threats.

9. U2 “one tree hill”
Jenny Markas
Lucas Scott is a moody rebel. Nathan Scott is a privileged preppy. Luke grew up poor, on the outskirts of town. Nathan grew up wealthy and owns the town. Now the two half brothers are basketball teammates and sometime rivals for the same girl. And they’re about to face off for the first time, on the court and off.One thing’s for sure: Their lives – and the lives of everyone around them – will never be the same.

10. Saybia “the day after tomorrow”
Allan Folsomm
The Day After Tomorrow (1994) is a thriller novel by Allan Folsom which appeared in the number 3 spot in its first week on the New York Times bestseller list for fiction.

11. Howard Jones “What is love?”
Isaac Newton Stevens
This is an EXACT reproduction of a book published before 1923. This IS NOT an OCR’d book with strange characters, introduced typographical errors, and jumbled words. This book may have occasional imperfections such as missing or blurred pages, poor pictures, errant marks, etc. that were either part of the original artifact, or were introduced by the scanning process. We believe this work is culturally important, and despite the imperfections, have elected to bring it back into print as part of our continuing commitment to the preservation of printed works worldwide. We appreciate your understanding of the imperfections in the preservation process, and hope you enjoy this valuable book

12. Tricky “Stay”
Allie Larkin
Savannah “Van” Leone has been in love with Peter Clarke since their first day of college. Six years later, Peter is marrying Van’s best friend, Janie. Loyal to a fault, Van dons her pumpkin-orange, maid-of- honor gown and stands up for the couple, struggling to hide her true feelings even when she couldn’t be more conspicuous. After the wedding, nursing her broken heart with a Rin Tin Tin marathon plus a vodka chaser, Van accidentally orders a German Shepherd puppy over the Internet. When “Joe” turns out to be a hundred-pound beast who only responds to commands in Slovak, Van is at the end of her rope-until she realizes that sometimes life needs to get more complicated before it can get better.
